AI Based Audience Counting
Our client has introduced a visitor counting solution that combines advanced camera technology with AI algorithms.
This system not only accurately tracks the number of people passing by a particular advertisement but also analyzes their behavior, including how many pause and for how long, while providing essential demographic data like age, gender, and mood.
They wanted to showcase this product in a visually striking way at an exhibition. Together with the client, we developed a concept, the essence of which is as follows:
We display a circus audience, where only the Showman is visible when there are no spectators around, meanwhile the ringmaster entices viewers to the show using various humorous animations. When someone stops in front of the display, the visitor counting system detects them and sends a message over the network to our developed "game," which immediately displays an avatar of the appropriate gender on the circus's screen. These avatars "sit" in the audience until the visitor watch the screen. When the visitor leaves, the avatar also bids farewell and exits the circus. As long as there is anyone in the audience, the ringmaster entertains them by turning towards the avatars, who respond with various pre-defined entertaining animations.
The user interface conveniently displays fundamental metrics, such as real-time visitor count, the number of visitors in the last hour, and the count for the past 24 hours. Moreover, it was a specific request that, whenever a visitor is present, the "game" autonomously showcases an informative image on the arena screen every 1-2 minutes, offering insights into the visitor counting system to intrigued onlookers.
